Sound city Reading Blog |

As I posted previously, I will be working on setting up one or more new web sites. This is a difficult task because I will no longer be able to use the easier drag and drop format used to set up the pages on Weebly. It will take a long time. I am studying two different web building sources. Neither one will be easy to use.
I have also been working to revise the Exploring Sounds In Words books. I will put the newest version online as soon as I can finalize the instructions. The rest is complete. The two ESIW books have been combined into one book. The beginning and ending sound pages have been streamlined so that there are fewer pages included for each new alphabet letter. I've also included the handwriting instruction for level two in the ESIW book, so there is no need to download and print two different books. I am also in the process of revising the short vowel books. I am making the Rhyming Short Vowel Words And Sentences book shorter, with fewer word lists for each of the short vowels. By selecting the words on each list carefully, I've been able to provide thorough instruction in a shorter period of time. This book is designed to use in Kindergarten. I've created a new book, First Grade Short Vowel Words And Sentences, to take the place of the Mixed Short Vowel Words And Sentences book. I think it will work better at the beginning of first grade. There will be a matching workbook. I hope to put this book online soon, after completing the instructions for the teacher. |
