Learning The Alphabet, Workbook 2
This book continues to introduce new alphabet letters. It is designed for students who are learning the letters of the alphabet for the first time. Students complete handwriting readiness pages by drawing lines on pictures that will prepare them to make the same strokes when writing the next letter to be introduced. Students hear a new section of the sound story read aloud by the teacher to introduce each new letter of the alphabet. Letters that are easiest to write are introduced first. Students trace large capital and lower case letters on the chalkboard and in the book so that they can remember the correct letter formation for each letter.. Students continue by tracing smaller letters, both new and review. Tracing outlines are provided for every letter;it is not necessary for students to write the letters independently. Pages are included to develop visual discrimination of new letters, beginning sound awareness, and oral blending and rhyming skills.
This book teaches half of the letters in the alphabet.
Learning The Alphabet, Book 1 teaches the rest of the letters.
