There are two different ways to navigate to the page you are looking for.  
1. Hover over any heading on the main menu and you'll see a drop down menu.  Click on the desired page to open it. 
2. If you are having difficulty navigating the drop down menus, click any of the main headings.  This will open a page that has links to all of the pages in that category.  Scroll down as needed to see the links, which are printed in green.  Click on the desired link to open that page.  
GOOD NEWS - This Weebly website will remain online for at least two more years.  I will add updates and any newer materials here.  I will not be adding Sound City Reading information or materials to the newer WordPress website at www.soundcityreading.blog at this time.     

Pictures

I'm providing these pictures files so that you can use them if desired to create supplementary materials to use with your students.  The pictures could be used in bulletin board displays, PDF files, projector presentations, worksheets, learning centers, learning games, flashcards, etc.  
These pictures could also be used to illustrate words being taught in languages other than English.  
The pictures on this website are copyrighted by Kathryn J. Davis.  They are available for use by teachers, tutors, parents, and schools with their own students.  Any materials that contain these pictures may not be sold commercially.  
You won't be able to see the pictures in a file until you have downloaded the file and extracted it.  See the instructions at the bottom of this page.  If you want to know which pictures are in the files shown below, click on PDF Files on the main menu, choose the desired level on the submenu, and open any of the PDF files for the books used at that level.

Keyword / Sound Chart Pictures - Go to this page to find the pictures that are used on all of the sound charts in this program.  
Level 1 And 2 Pictures - Go to this page to find the pictures that are included in the Learning The Alphabet and Exploring Sounds In Words books.
Level 3 Pictures - Go this this page to find the pictures that are included in the short vowel books. 
Level 4 Pictures - Go to this page to find pictures that are included in the Phonetic Words And Stories books, the Basic Phonics Patterns Books, and the Know The Phonetic Code books.  
Consonant Blends - Go the this page to find pictures that illustrate words with beginning and ending consonant blends.  These pictures are already included in the Level 4 Pictures.
Level 5 Pictures - Go to this page to find pictures that are included in Advanced Phonics Patterns From Children's Books.  
How To See The Pictures:  Click on any of the links printed in green above.  The links to the picture files are available on those pages.  After you reach the desired page, you will see links to the available picture files printed in green.  When you click on one of these links, you will be able to download a zip file to your computer that contains multiple images.  
You won't be able to see the images on your computer until the file is unzipped.  To unzip a file, double click on it.  Click Extract all. Select the location where you want to store the file, make sure the Show extracted files when complete box is checked, then click Extract.  Now you will be able to open the file and see and use the pictures.

My goal is for as many people as possible to use this reading program to teach students how to read.  All of the materials you need are available on this site as free PDF files.  The materials are copyrighted, but I give permission to all teachers, parents, tutors, and school systems to download and print any of the PDF files for use with the students they teach.    However, they are not to make a profit from distributing the materials.  If you don't have a printer, using a print shop is allowed.  If preferred, you may work with the PDF files directly from a computer screen, without printing them.  This makes it possible for tutors to teach the program online.  Audio and video files are free to watch and to listen to, and they may be downloaded if desired for use with your  students.  In special cases I may grant written permission to individuals to use the materials in other ways.  You can contact me at [email protected].
