Decoding Practice Pages
Reading Street Grade 1
I created these decoding sheets as part of my Sound City Reading phonics program. I set up the order of these particular sheets to match the order in which the phonics patterns were introduced in the Reading Street program in first grade. Click the links below to download the desired PDF files.
I was not able to set up specific decoding sheets for the rest of the first grade program. However, the following books have decoding sheets for all of the phonetic patterns, arranged in alphabetical order so the patterns you need can be found easily. The patterns range from easy to advanced. The books contain rhyming word lists, non-rhyming word lists, and sentence pages. The Vowel Patterns book has 286 pages. The Consonant Patterns book has 186 pages.
